SMP Wants You: Become a Mentor in Solvay's Mentoring Program!
The Solvay Mentoring Program (SMP) is back for its 9th edition, and we're calling upon our esteemed alumni to become mentors and be a part of this exciting journey. On 23 October, the programme kicked-off with a recruitment event that brought togeter current Solvay Students and Alumni to share experience, testimonials, ask and answer questions.
What is the Solvay Mentoring Program?
The SMP bridges the gap between Solvay students and alumni, fostering mentoring relationships primarily focused on career development. It's a fantastic opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of Solvay graduates.
How It Works:
- Student Choice: Students select their top three preferred mentors based on mentor profiles posted on our website.
- Matching: We carefully analyze the profiles and match one student with one mentor, ensuring a compatible pairing.
- Flexibility: The mentee-mentor pair is free to schedule meetings and discussions at their convenience.
- Networking: Throughout the program, we organize networking events in Q2, allowing mentors and mentees to meet and exchange valuable insights.
Why Should You Participate as a Mentor?
- Make a difference for the next generation: Expand your influence, share your expertise, and help students explore new career opportunities
- Reconnect with Solvay: Rekindle your connection with your alma mater and fellow alumni.
- Gain Valuable Experience: Enhance your mentoring skills, while also acquiring expertise in professional socialization, coaching, and leadership.
